Animation:   T A N T R I C   T H A N A T O S E

Explanation:  Thanatose is the primal instinctive drive in humans to seek out death of themselves by means
of risky activities or self-sacrifices in order to invoke chance in their personal behavior or selves. In more laymen terms-"Death Wish"
Being the philosopher as well as metaphysical student that I am, I chose to explore the purpose of Thanatose in the guise of
Eastern Mysticism. More specifically, I approached the Thanatose Complex as a drive within us to invoke premature reincarnation
to bring about a drastic (and often times ill-prepared) evolution in our selves as we relate to the external world.  The "magus" who is found in much of my artwork pertaining to this extensive site of personal art and expressions is represented as the ambiguous self. He represents the magician inside of every human.  The fast pace animation correlates to the spastic and often manic actions taken while one is invoking a conscious or unconscious thanatose state.  As you can see, though the magician has willed his ethereal self to dissolve into the skeletal and otherwise
desolate remains of the True Self, he fails in evolving because it is only a self-perceived transformation through death.  He is reincarnated as his original self, and the only difference that he can witness is that life is a cycle by which all creations must eb and flow.  Evolution comes from an
outside force-(in the metaphor: I as the artist who is separate physically from the image can thus change his condition when I choose to). Since the purpose of the animation is to convey a strong idea with which I agree, it is a shameful confession that I may never "help" our magus reach his goal.  He, just as you and myself, must face that he is in a pattern and must learn to work within the limits he has been given.
