T I O N S* In the shiny surface I see myself flattered Here the tattered ribbon that is wound around my heart My ever weaker voice drowned out by the silence The fading image, my face is wasting away My timely moment now approaches so near *This poem was submitted to the David Bowie fanclub back in 1999 when a contest was being run for lyrics to a new song at the time. I did not win the contest, but occassionally when I hear that particular song (name not given per no permission) I sing my lyrics instead of those of a fan that were used. |

O O D ' S D E A T H See how the rain trickles down, and the box car
wheels turn around Chirping birds and winds do come, they flow into your face-you run! Spin around come along friend, we'll count the days until the end Childhood is gone, we are old-The same story is always told Childhood's death in a storm-that pain and fear is the norm See how the rain trickles down. |

E S E V E N K I N G D O M S Down the tree of my
soul, there are seven kingdoms to make me whole. First, as I climb upward, it is Muladhavva that my soul climbs toward. Next I travel in desire, to the kingdom of Svadhisthana to reach its spire. When I am finaly saited, to the world of Manipura I feel drawn and baited. In triumph I begin to love, and all the beauty reveals itself through Anahata above. Once I stop at the peak, from the heights of Visuddha my soul begins to speak. Suddenly within I do call, a higher vision appears from teh kingdom of Ajna. Finally, from within I soar, of everything and anything I join the kingdom of
Sahasrara. |

D T R E E* Long ago and just a dream away, a black nothing became a
gray. But in that fire was a soul, it grew wings to make it whole. In that storm winds did come, shifting the darkness into the sun. As the waters spread to fill, the darkness tossed and spilled. To the Wyrm did say the bird, To the Phoenix said the snake, And so from the egg there came a tree, A column of Earth to bind Sky and Sea. This interpretation of the world tree is taken from the
Slavic shamans story of how the firebird spirit Simargyl (Belobog/Yang) and the Cosmic
Serpent (Chernobog/Yin) grew the tree of the World from the womb of Mother Mokosh. For

R E I K I* Bright Star within and without Burning away all sin and doubt The Master's soul touched and atuned His inner lotus radiant and bloomed A journey down from sacred mount Full of the Great Light as a fount The First Miracle did come to toe Healing Hands did well make so Great feast was asked from kind Spare no food, he fast for a time The Second Miracle did now come Empty belly and heart undone Ailing girl was brought to Master Her great toothache felt like disaster Healing Hands took away the pain Her happiness came back again. Many came to be healed and well Caught by Master's healing spell Though some did not stay at peace Their greed and pride would not ease. So from wise words Master proclaimed These five lines for the Art contained: Just For Today, Do Not Worry Just For Today, Do Not Anger Honor Your Parents, Teachers, and Elders Earn Your Living Honestly Show Gratitude For Every Living Thing. So now each student must know within. To burn away all doubt and sin. Heal the world and all others too. But always heal the Star In You. *dedicated to the folklore of how Dr. Usui discovered and developed the healing art of Reiki. |
